Back in the 70's, I used to write limericks and put them in my husband's lunchbox so that he would find them at lunch time. ;-) I've been thinking about having a limerick challenge for one of our BFF topics. Maybe I'll do that next week!

As for poetry, I have one dear friend who writes the best poems ever. I have encouraged her to publish because she is most successful at poems and short stories for children. She is amazing! And I love her poems!Darlene ~Bloggity Blogger~https://www.blogger.com/profile/08202901408911879517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393027414870274744.post-76337702503110418172011-07-13T23:00:30.267-04:002011-07-13T23:00:30.267-04:00Funny, funny, FUNNY! When I finally buck up and say "OK - so that's the way things are", then she comes back. Maybe I should accept things faster and move on quicker...Darlene ~Bloggity Blogger~https://www.blogger.com/profile/08202901408911879517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393027414870274744.post-72779248280120342702011-07-13T20:18:27.653-04:002011-07-13T20:18:27.653-04:00Now tell us how you REALLY feel about that kind of...Now tell us how you REALLY feel about that kind of poetry :D LOL. I'm not innocent. I wrote a blog once that was a string of words down a page, but it told a story. I'll share a link with you if you want to point and laugh. LOL

@ Angela: "prose with carriage returns at odd spots"... First of all, I love this comment. It is a colorful description for a jerky, directionless cluster of words. I may borrow that some time...*wink, wink, wink* Unfortunately, I am lacking in education regarding poetry and prose because I think I nodded off every time it came up in school or college. I do, however, enjoy some poems. I have a blogger friend who writes wonderful poems. She precedes many of her poems with a little narrative, then the poem tells a story. Oh what fun she presents in a poem. Here's a sample: http://www.myspace.com/grannysally53/blog/542978942 She is a wonderful and special lady. I hope you enjoy her poems.Darlene ~Bloggity Blogger~https://www.blogger.com/profile/08202901408911879517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393027414870274744.post-14666199857530330812011-07-13T17:33:07.767-04:002011-07-13T17:33:07.767-04:00Agree with you completely. On the other hand, I've seen a lot of rhyme that wasn't really poetry because that's all it did--rhyme. Poetry is really hard to define. : - )Angela Parson Myershttp://www.angelaparsonmyers.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393027414870274744.post-70412666835214375912011-07-13T16:49:25.606-04:002011-07-13T16:49:25.606-04:00Ha Ha!!
